Weitzman and H-E-B broke ground on Manvel Town Center on June 22. The first phase of the town center is scheduled to come online in late summer 2022, according to a Weitzman press release.
Manvel Town Center will encompass more than 1 million square feet of retail, entertainment, hospitality, medical and office space, according to the press release. The mixed-use development will sit on 273 acres at the northwest corner of Hwy. 6 and Hwy. 288.
“Manvel Town Center’s groundbreaking represents the beginning of not only one of the largest retail-focused projects in Houston’s history, it will be the largest project ever for Weitzman in our 31-year history,” Herb Weitzman, executive chairman and founder of Weitzman, said in the release.
H-E-B will serve as the anchor for the town center, and will include a fuel station and car wash, according to the release.
