Pearland ISD board of trustees will consider approval of a partnership with the University of Houston and 240 Certification Program to provide clinical teaching opportunities at its Feb. 10 meeting.
The overview
The 240 Certification Program, previously known as Educators of Excellence, is an approved educator preparation program, or EPP, that fulfills the certification requirements set by the Texas Education Agency.
If approved, both partnerships would formalize a five-year partnership with the district to provide field supervision, instructional coaching and mentoring support for student teachers, according to district documents.
