George Bush Incontinental Aiport and William P. Hobby Airport will both resume limited flight operations today, beginning at 4 p.m.
Travelers are cautioned to check with their air carrier before going to either airport.
If you're traveling out of Hobby, be advised that the bigger air carriers are expected to begin service on Saturday. Southwest announced it will begin flights on Saturday on Twitter.
Houston Airport Systems said there was damage and significant water to HAS facilities or EcoPark, but check if you plan to use other satellite parking lots.
Also, plan your route to the airport before you leave to make sure it is safe to drive.
Both of Houston's airports have been closed due to weather conditions and flooding since Sunday.

The latest news posted this morning on the Houston Airport System website confirms that no commercial inbound or outbound flights are allowed at either George Bush Incontinental Aiport and William P. Hobby Airport until further notice. No reopening timeline was provided.
Additionally, the Houston Airport System website provided the following traffic status near the airports:
IAH: All lanes of JFK are open; Will Clayton Pkwy all lanes open up to McKay; HPD on scene blocking the road to prevent continued passage on Will Clayton at McKay but allowing passage on to US 59 southbound.
HOU: Monroe from Springtime Ln to BW-8 remains flooded; Blackhawk Blvd at BW-8 remains flooded; Telephone Road from Almeda Genoa to BW-8 is still flooded. All other roads are passable.

George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Hobby Airport say they are closed until Thursday due to conditions from Hurricane Harvey.
