1. Cane Island Parkway Overpass
An overpass will cross I-10 from the south side of the interstate and connect drivers to Cane Island Parkway. There will be off ramps and on ramps from the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-10 onto the overpass. The overpass is 90 percent complete.

2. Morton Road improvements
A 1-mile section of Morton Road between Katy Hockley Cut Off Road and Avenue D in the city of Katy will widened from two to four lanes. Part of the project consists of replacing existing above-ground drainage ditches with curbs and gutters. City Administrator Byron Hebert said the project’s main purpose is help with traffic as well as to relieve flooding.

3. Cane Island Boulevard
A two-lane concrete road—Cane Island Boulevard—will be constructed northward from the intersection of FM 1463 and Willow Bend. The 4,380-foot road will connect FM 1463 to I-10 and the new Cane Island Parkway Overpass. Included in the project are concrete curbs and gutters as well as a bridge over the Willow Fork Bayou drainage channel.

4. Colonial Parkway repairs
Damaged areas of the existing concrete road on the four-lanes of Colonial Parkway will be repaired and replaced from Ravello Drive to North Mason Road.

5. Kingsland Boulevard/Houghton Road intersection
Damaged areas of the existing concrete pavement at the intersection of Kingsland Boulevard and Houghton Road will be repaired and replaced later this year.

6. South Firethorne Road extension
The South Firethorne Road project will connect the east-west road with north-south Spring Green Boulevard to the west. Between the Reserve at Katy and the Avalon at Spring Green communities, the 1,100-foot connection for the South Firethorne Road extension will stop at Spring Green creating a T intersection. The project will be constructed by Allgood Construction Company.

FM 1093 will be widened from two lanes to four lanes starting at the intersection of the Grand Parkway and FM 1093 and westward to the intersection of FM 1463. The Westpark Tollway will be extended an additional 2.3 miles west from its current location.

8. Crossover Road widening
Fort Bend County is designing a project to widen Crossover Road from FM 1463 to Spring Green Boulevard. The road will be widened from a two-lane asphalt road to a four-lane concrete boulevard.
