1. The Grand Parkway segments F-1, F-2 and G

Construction continues on three simultaneous segments—F-1, F-2 and G—of Houston’s third outer loop. The segments stretch from Hwy. 290 to Hwy. 59 and feature major overpasses and interchanges at Hwy. 290, Hwy. 249 and I-45. For up-to-date information, visit www.grandparkway99.com.

2. Hardy Toll Road expansion

The Harris County Toll Road Authority has begun work on the Hardy Toll Road expansion, which will add a third lane on the northbound and southbound lanes from FM 1960 to the Grand Parkway. The project also includes a direct connector with the Grand Parkway, which will add four single-lane direct connectors in each direction from northbound to east and west lanes on the Grand Parkway and from east and westbound lanes on the Grand Parkway to southbound lanes on the Hardy Toll Road. HCTRA has awarded the contracts for the widening project, which will see construction begin this summer. 3. Hufsmith-Kohrville Road Segment 1

Contractor Menade Inc. continues construction on the widening of Hufsmith-Kohrville Road from a two-lane asphalt roadway to a four-lane concrete boulevard section in Tomball. Segment 1 spans from just south of Spring Cypress Road north to Hollow Glen Lane. Timeline: Feb. 16, 2015-Feb. 15, 2016 Cost: $6.59 million Funding sources: Harris County Precinct 4

4. Gosling Road bridge

A Gosling Road dual bridge over Spring Creek is being designed by The Woodlands Road Utility District. The project is a partnership between WRUD, Montgomery and Harris counties. Still in the design phase, the bridge will be bid upon completion of project development once money for the bridge is identified. 5. Kuykendahl Road bridge

Harris County is working with Montgomery County and The Woodlands Road Utility District on constructing an additional two-lane bridge for Kuykendahl Road over Spring Creek. The bridge will go out for bid following the completion of project development and once the funding for the projects is identified.
