The Career and Technical Education Center at New Caney High School is expected to be completed this summer, said Scott Powers, New Caney ISD’s executive director of public relations, in a May 12 email. The 50,431-square-foot facility is funded by the district’s $695 million bond package, which was approved by voters in May 2023.

The CTE center will feature classrooms and shops for programs including:
  • Agriculture
  • Welding
  • Automotive
  • Construction
  • Architecture
  • Engineering programs
The CTE center is expected to cost $21 million, according to NCISD’s website. Construction on the CTE center began in June 2024, Powers said.
