Humble ISD officials announced Feb. 3 that all campuses throughout the district will be closed Feb. 4 due to inclement weather.


“Humble ISD schools will be closed on Friday, Feb. 4, for the safety and well-being of students and staff,” the announcement reads. “Friday’s school day will not need to be made up. Our calendar accommodates a brief weather closure.”

HISD officials said high school University Interscholastic League, or UIL, and FFA activities will be still held on Friday, weather permitting. District officials noted coaches, fine arts directors and agriculture teachers will communicate scheduling updates to their students.

Humble ISD officials announced the districtwide cancellation of all extracurricular activities after 8 p.m. Feb. 3 due to inclement weather.

“Humble ISD after-school activities can continue on Thursday, Feb. 3 up until 8 p.m.,” the announcement reads. “At 8 p.m., activities must end due to the potential for freezing precipitation moving into the area.”

District officials said coaches and fine arts directors will provide students with information if any changes are made to their schedules. Officials also noted families would be contacted in the event that Feb. 4 classes are canceled.
