The filing period for the Nov. 3 election ended at 5 p.m. on Aug. 17, and New Caney ISD had no new candidates file for two spots on the board of trustees besides the incumbents.

According to NCISD, incumbents Elizabeth Harrell and Creg Mixon were the only candidates to file for Positions 1 and 2, respectively. This means there will be no election for NCISD on Nov. 3. Harrell and Mixon will serve three-year terms.
