Several Montgomery County residents rushed to the polls during the first week of early voting, which runs through Nov. 4. More than 82,000 residents cast early votes in person, while an additional 9,921 mailed in ballots, according to Montgomery County.

A total of 92,038 cast votes in Montgomery County during the first week of early voting.

More than 15 million Texas residents are registered to vote in this election, according to the Texas Secretary of State’s office—a record figure and a 5 percent increase from the primary election earlier this year. In total, about 78 percent of voting-age Texas can vote between now and Nov. 8, Election Day.
