Humble Senior Activity Center celebrates grand opening of new 10,000-square-foot facility

Officials with the Humble Senior Activity Center celebrated the Oct. 28 opening of its new facility in Humble, offering a variety of new spaces, activities and events for seniors.

The details

The new roughly 10,000-square-foot facility is located near the Octavia Fields Branch Library and the Humble Civic Center along Will Clayton Parkway. The new facility features a number of multiuse spaces, a pickleball court and seasonal swimming classes.

The space will accommodate both existing and new programs such as guitar lessons, bingo and bowling.

"It's truly rewarding to see the city of Humble's vision come to life and to connect with the community members who will benefit from this space," officials with BRW Architects, the design firm for the new center, said in a post on social media. "Meeting the people we’ve positively impacted and witnessing the joy this new center brings is an unforgettable experience."
