With 465 out of 465 Harris County voting centers reporting election day results, voters have re-elected incumbent David Pierce to the position of Humble City Council Place 5.

Pierce received 74.26%, or 352 votes, while challenger Linda Greenan garnered 25.74%, or 122 votes.

"I would like to say a heartfelt thanks to my family, friends and neighbors for their support and help in getting the votes," Pierce said in a statement to Community Impact Newspaper on May 9. "Everyone is so busy, and taking the time to be a part [of the election process] is a positive and a win for our community."

With 452 out of 465 voting centers reporting election day results, incumbent David Pierce appears to be on track to be reelected to the position of Humble City Council Place 5.

Pierce has received 73.93%, or 346 votes, while challenger Linda Greenan has garnered 26.07%, or 122 votes.

With 50 of 465 Harris County voting centers reporting election day results, incumbent David Pierce continues to lead in the race for Humble City Council Place 5 with 73.56%, or 256 votes. Challenger Linda Greenan has received 26.44%, or 92 votes.

Early voting results show incumbent David Pierce taking an early lead in the race for Humble City Council Place 5 in the May 7 local elections.

According to the Harris County Elections Administrator's Office, Pierce has garnered 73.91%, or 255 votes, while challenger Linda Greenan has received 26.09%, or 90 votes. Pierce was elected to his current position in 2015, although he served on the council previously from 1986-2022. Pierce has also served as the council's mayor pro tem since February 2021.

The Humble City Council is made up of one mayor and five council members, each of which are elected to two-year terms. As previously reported by Community Impact Newspaper, while places 3 and 4 are also up for election May 7, the incumbents—Bruce Davidson and Paula Settle—are running unopposed.
