Updates will be posted on the district websites and social media as the storm progresses, officials said. "All New Caney ISD campuses and facilities will be closed Monday, Aug. 28, and Tuesday, Aug. 29, due to severe weather and flooding," NCISD spokesperson Scott Powers said. Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman and the Texas Department of Transportation have urged residents to stay indoors and avoid the roads as waters rise in the area. High water locations in the Lake Houston area include Hwy. 59 where it crosses the San Jacinto River and Greens and Rankin roads.
