The fast-casual seafood restaurant boasts a menu of fried and grilled fish and shrimp, lobster rolls, and gumbo as well as sides ranging from hush puppies and coleslaw to macaroni and cheese, and fried okra.
The Humble location is owned and operated by business partners Irfan Ibrahim and Salman Iqbal of Checkout Food Stores along with Development President Uzair Ibrahim and Director of Operations Furqan Ibrahim.
"Irfan and Salman have over 30 years of experience with convenience stores, and our business has succeeded because we focus on quality and an inviting atmosphere," Furqan Ibrahim said in a statement. "We saw the same commitment to guest experience when we started researching Captain D's. The food quality is superior, with seafood offering something different from the typical fast food. Paired with the welcoming design of the restaurant, we think there is a lot of opportunity and growth for the brand in the Houston area. The Humble restaurant features a double drive-thru and dining room with seating for 44 patrons, and it is the first of 10 new Captain D's locations slated to open in the Greater Houston area in the coming months, according to the release. 346-522-2783. www.captainds.com
