Houston Restaurant Weeks announced July 15 the initial lineup for this year's event scheduled for Aug. 1-Sept. 6. More than 200 restaurants are expected to participate this year, and officials said additional eateries will be added to the website through Aug. 1.
This annual event dates back to 2003 and has raised $16.6 million for the Houston Food Bank since its inception. During the 37-day event, participating restaurants feature specially-priced, multicourse prix fixe menus including brunch, lunch and dinner. Meals are available for dine-in and takeout.
