As of Nov. 6, Humble ISD has 92 active COVID-19 cases, while New Caney ISD has 16, according to case count dashboards from the districts. However, HISD has close to three times the amount of students enrolled as NCISD does.

Of HISD’s 92 active cases, 61 are from students and 31 are from staff. Cases in elementary schools jumped from 21 on Oct. 29 to 31.





In NCISD, its 16 cases are divided equally between students and staff with eight each. Elementary schools saw their cases drop by almost half from 12 on Oct. 29 to seven.
