Don't Axe, an ax-throwing venue, has closed in Kings Harbor, according to a statement from the owners posted on the business's Facebook page Jan. 20.

Some context

Originally announced in September 2023 with the name Bad Axes, the ax-throwing venue rebranded to Don't Axe before opening in May 2024. In addition to offering ax-throwing, the venue also featured a full restaurant and bar serving Southern cuisine and craft cocktails.

What they're saying

The statement posted on Facebook from owners Nicole White and Lauren Williams reads:

"It is with mixed emotions that we announce the closing of the doors to Don't Axe. As two best friends and teachers who dared to follow our entrepreneurial dreams, this journey has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of our lives. We set out to show our children that pursuing your passions is always worth it, and we are proud of what we've created together. Though we are closing this chapter, we don't see it as a failure—rather, it's a stepping stone to new adventures. The love, encouragement and support from all of you have made this journey unforgettable. We are beyond grateful for the community we've built and for everyone who supported us along the way. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being a part of this journey."
