Memorial Hermann Rehabilitation Hospital-Katy added new technology to its facility at 21720 Kingsland Blvd., Ste. 102, Katy, said Jade Waddy, Memorial Hermann senior media relations representative. A vestibular neurocom machine was added in March to help patients regain strength and balance. In April, a functional electrical stimulation bike was added to help patients improve or restore paralyzed muscles. The hospital also added an inpatient rehab vision specialist service to help patients practice driving skills after a stroke or other injury as well as receive medical clearance in a predriving assessment. These technologies are valued about $70,000-$100,000.
