With 67 out of 67 precincts reporting unofficial results, Dexter McCoy has secured the Democratic seat in the race for Fort Bend County Precinct 4 commissioner, over competitor Neeta Sane. As of 10:27 p.m., Fort Bend County reported McCoy had secured 60.67% of the vote, with 3,220 votes. Sane received 39.33% of the vote, with 2,087 votes. In total, 5,307 votes were cast in the race, accounting for 7.81% of registered voters.

According to the most recent voting results from Fort Bend County, candidate Dexter McCoy has secured 60.28% of the votes, with 3,044 votes—increasing his lead against Neeta Sane in the race for Fort Bend County Precinct 4 commissioner. As of 9:39 p.m., Sane had 39.72% of the vote, with 2,006 votes total. It remains unclear how many of the precinct's 67 voting centers have reported all of their votes.

According to updated Fort Bend County voting results, candidate Dexter McCoy has increased his lead against Neeta Sane in the race for Fort Bend County Precinct 4 commissioner. As of 8:39 p.m., McCoy had 59.29% of the vote, with 2,289 votes. Sane had 40.71% of the vote, with 1,572 votes total. As of 8:55 p.m., it is unclear how many of the precinct's 67 voting centers have reported their votes.

In the runoff election for the Democratic primary seat for Fort Bend County Precinct 4 commissioner, candidate Dexter McCoy has the lead with 57.81% of the vote, according to early voting data provided by Fort Bend County. ​​As of 7 p.m., Fort Bend County is reporting early and absentee vote totals.

Candidate Neeta Sane received 1,382 votes, or 42.19% of the votes, with 1,894 votes supporting McCoy.

McCoy and Sane made it to the runoff ballot after incumbent Ken DeMerchant was unseated after only securing 14.34% of the vote, with 1,140 votes total, in the March 1 primary election.


In that election, McCoy garnered 38.03% of the vote, or 3,023 votes. Similarly, Sane secured 39.89% of the vote, or 3,171 votes. Runoff elections are called after no candidate secures more than 50% of the vote.
