Feb. 25: Yoga on the Green

Yoga classes will be held every Friday at 9 a.m. Bring a mat, a towel and a bottle of water. Samantha Walker has been teaching yoga for 10 years and is a 500-hour Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance. Walker has taught at various gyms and studios throughout Houston since 2012.

Feb. 25-27: 'Shrek The Musical Jr'



The Memorial Parkway Junior High School theatre department will be presenting "Shrek the Musical Jr." The musical is fun for all ages.

March 26: H-town Sports Day

During the fourth annual H-town Sports Day, local professional athletes will compete, industry trainers will share tips, and the Shooting Stars and cheerleaders will be on hand to entertain. NASCAR cars and autographs will be available along with a chance to take pictures. Other activities include face painting, games and activities. Children ages 6-12 can take part in the Play 60 program under the direction of Reggie Rusk and Amobi Okoye. Interviews with pro athletes start at 1 p.m. Some of the athletes coming to H-town Sports Day this year include Brandin Cooks, Pharoah Brown, Ty Hymel, David Lovelace, Stevie Ray, Reggie Johnson, Ryan Yarborough, Lannel Bellows, Joe Wesley, Kyle Washington, Mike Holmes, Brandon Johnson, Amobi Okoye, Whit McClendon, Garrick Jones and Robert Reid. Emcees are Tamar Davis and DJ Cruise.

Feb. 26: The Farmers Market on Grand Parkway

This farmers market features locally grown produce, locally raised meats, farm-fresh eggs, artisan crafts, handmade breads and baked goods, handmade soaps, jams and jellies, spices, snacks, herbs, flowers, plants and more.
