Where to vote early for Katy ISD board of trustees Positions 1 and 2
Early voting for KISD’s Positions 1 and 2 of the board of trustees starts April 25.
The time period for early voting spans April 25-May 3.
The early voting locations consist of the following:

All sites will be open every weekday from April 25-May 3 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. A special early voting session will be held April 30 at these same locations from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
Candidates for KISD board Positions 1 and 2
KISD will hold the general election for board of trustees Positions 1 and 2 on May 7.
The board of trustees is KISD’s policy-making body. According to the school district’s website, the board observes state and federal laws, the rules and regulations established by the State Board of Education, the Texas Education Agency and the will of the people as expressed in district elections.
The board is also responsible for selecting and employing the superintendent and delegates responsibility and authority to run the district to that chief executive officer.
KISD's board of trustees is made up of seven members who function officially as one group, serve without pay and are elected for three-year terms on a rotating basis, according to the district’s website.
The incumbent for Position 1 is Donald T. Duke Keller Jr., who became the board secretary following a board restructuring due to misconduct in February. Keller is defending his position against four other candidates.
Lance Redmon is the incumbent for Position 2 and serves as the board’s vice president. He faces two opponents for his seat on the board.
