The Coastal Water Authority—which provides untreated water to municipalities in Harris, Chambers and Liberty Counties—has selected a new leader to oversee the authority’s communications, according to an Aug. 21 news release.

Jonathan Mathers was chosen as CWA’s new government relations manager, per the release. In this position, Mathers will focus on engaging policymakers and stakeholders.
"His background and relationships will strengthen CWA's ability to communicate our mission, build lasting partnerships and advocate for the long-term water needs of the communities and industries we serve,” CWA Executive Director Greg Olinger said in a statement.
