Enrollment for new students reopened July 26 and returning KISD students can use the same online registration system to update their information starting Aug. 2. The district recommends anyone registering a student new to the district have as documentation proof of residence, the student’s official birth certificate or passport, government-issued identification of the person registering the student, proof of immunization, and a recent report card or transcript.
Students and staff will be off for the Thanksgiving holiday Nov. 22-26 this fall and again for the winter holiday Dec. 20-31. Other no-school holidays during the year include Labor Day on Sept. 6, Columbus Day on Oct. 11 and Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan. 17.
For nongraduating KISD students, the school year will finish May 26.
