Harris County Public Health is hosting a mobile COVID-19 testing site at Jeanette Hayes Elementary School from July 13-18, according to a July 12 update on Katy ISD's website and a July 10 press release from HCPH.

The testing site will operate July 13-18, but it will be closed July 16, per the release. Hayes Elementary is located at 21203 Park Timbers Lane, Katy.

To get a test at the site, individuals must take a self-assessment and receive an authorization code by going online to www.publichealth.harriscountytx.gov or calling 832-927-7575.

This is not the first time KISD has hosted coroanvirus testing sites; Harris County previously opened a drive-thru site at Legacy Stadium from March 23-May 30.

Additionally, Fort Bend County opened a testing site at Seven Lakes High School at 9251 S. Fry Road, Katy, on May 8. It remains operational, and it is one of Fort Bed County’s busiest county-run testing sites, according to Jacquelyn Minter, the director of the Fort Bend County Health and Human Services Department and the local health authority.
