Fort Bend County Judge KP George has created a new task force to address mental health during the coronavirus pandemic, according to a press release.
The Fort Bend County Coronavirus Mental Health Task Force will host its first town hall meeting online from 2-3 p.m. on April 17, and county residents are encouraged to attend and ask questions, according to the release.
George named Dr. Asim Shah as the task force chair, per the release. A resident of Fort Bend County, Shah is the chief of psychiatry at Ben Taub Hospital, which is part of the Harris Health System, and the executive vice chair of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the Baylor College of Medicine.
