With the holiday season upon us and the kids out of school for Thanksgiving week, it’s time for a bit of family fun. Catch some live music this Friday with Cody Preston, enjoy a fall festival at Cane Island, a tree lighting ceremony at La Centerra and give the teens a chance to get out and socialize at Midnight Rodeo. Home for the Holidays craft fair
Little Shop of Wreaths hosts this event with local crafts at the Merrell Center all weekend. Hours are Friday 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Free admission. 6301 S. Stadium Lane, Katy. 832-721-9924.

Cane Island Fall Fest
Get out of the house and celebrate the cooler weather and coming holidays at Cane Island. Food and drinks from Freedom Barbecue, Growler USA and more will be available. The whole family can have fun with lawn games, bounce houses, face painting and vendor booths to get holiday shopping started early. LaCenterra Tree Lighting
The Texas Children's Hospital West Campus co-hosts this annual event. Kids will have a chance to meet Santa, who will ride in on a Willowfork Fire Department fire truck.
