After 11 years at 5017 E. 5th St., Steve Brammer is relocating the wholesale side of his athletic wear and printing businesses to a new site closer to the future Legacy Stadium. BAW Athletic Wear will move to a new 85,000-square-foot warehouse near the northwest corner of Franz Road and Katy Fort Bend Road in July, he said.
"Retail will stay on Fifth Street, which leaves the back of the building empty," he said.
Brammer's has been in business since 1995. Between the two entities,
BAW Athletic Wear's and the retail business
Brammer's Athletic WareHouse's offer team uniforms, athletic apparel, custom embroidery, screenprinting, digital banners and cad cut vinyl printing.
Brammer's Athletic WareHouse occupies approximately 16,000 square feet of the 32,000-square-foot building. Brammer said he needs to expand his retail business but has not decided how the empty space left from BAW Athletic Wear will be used.
He said he has spoken with Catcher's University owner Jeff Wilson about possibly allowing the baseball and softball training school to move in. In addition, Brammer is building a 13,400-square-foot strip center, Stadium Retail Center, along Franz Road in front of the new warehouse.
"We will open [Stadium Retail Center] as we lease it," he said.
