Saturday

Red, White, & Blue Stars and Stripes Festival Cane Island hosts a family-oriented afternoon event with moon bounces, a petting zoo, popcorn, snow cones, face painting and balloon twisters. Attractions and events are held at the VFW Park, ending with a firework display near Katy Mills Mall. 9 a.m.-1 p.m. (open ceremony and open houses), 9 p.m. (fireworks). Free. Fulshear Freedom Fest Sponsored by Houston Methodist West Hospital, visitors can head to Downtown Fulshear for a holiday celebration featuring a parade, games, vendors, a children's area and a fireworks display. Tuesday

July 4th celebration LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch hosts its Independence Day celebration with Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus. The event includes a patriotic bike contest, live music and a fireworks display. 4:30-9:30 p.m. Free.
