TopArt, a studio offering art classes for children, relaunched in the Houston area with its new Katy location.

The details

TopArt staff teach beginner and advanced art classes for children ages 3-16, founder and owner Hang T. Thai said in an email. Through the classes, students will develop critical thinking and aesthetic skills that can help build core values of consciousness, personality and intelligence, Thai said.

What else?

Thai said TopArt began in 2012 in Vietnam, growing to 20 locations over the last 12 years. The first Houston location launched in 2018 off Beechnut Street, but it closed in early 2020 due to challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic, Thai said.

Thai will host a grand opening for the Katy location on Jan. 25. With the relaunch of the brand in Houston, Thai also plans to open other Houston-area locations in the future in Richmond or Bellaire, with franchise opportunities available.

Quote of note

“We are back to Katy because this city has great school systems, strong local economy, new houses, more supermarkets and shopping malls,” Thai said. “We believe this area has a lot of development in the future.”
