Staying connected with the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office is now just an app download away.

At an April 29 news conference, the FBCSO announced its new mobile app, created and powered by thesheriffapp.com, that’s available for Apple and Android users. The app, meant to serve as a centralized platform, will offer ways for community members to stay connected while receiving important information from the sheriff's office as needed.

According to an April 29 news release, the app will allow community members to:
  • Receive real-time alerts and blog posts, including news stories, emergency alerts, traffic updates and community events
  • Access current inmate information, including booking statuses and charges
  • Connect with inmate resources, including commissary details, visitation opportunities and approved bonding companies
  • Explore community outreach programs, including notifications about free community program and events
  • Report nonemergency incidents, including crime reports, traffic complaints and narcotic activities

Fort Bend County Sheriff Eric Fagan said he encourages community members to download the app to stay informed.


“Our mobile app represents a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to engage with residents, promote transparency and enhance public safety," Fagan said at the news conference. "By harnessing the power of technology, we aim to empower our community with the tools and information necessary to actively contribute to the safety and well-being of Fort Bend County."
