Looking for things to do in Katy and Fulshear this fall? Here's six events going on in the area in October and November. This list is not comprehensive.

Pumpkin Smashing

First Christian Church Katy hosts this event at its pumpkin patch at the end of October, where participants can smash pumpkins while supplies last.Haunted Halloween Horror Market

Visit the Wildcatter Saloon for this event that will have celebrity meet and greets, local vendors, artists, live bands, trick or treating and a costume contest. Kids aged 12 and younger attend free. The market and showcase will be for guests over 18 years old after 7 p.m.Howl-O-Ween

The city of Katy hosts this Halloween-themed event for pets and families at its Off Leash Dog Park. There will be a dog costume contest for an entry fee and raffles to support local animal shelters.Fall Festival


The Chick-fil-A at The Crossing at Katy Fulshear retail center hosts this family-centered event with a bounce house, pumpkin decorating and face painting.

Gumbo Cook-Off

This event at Cross Creek Ranch supports the Fulshear Police Foundation. It will feature home-cooked gumbo, live music and a silent auction.

Fall Community Campout

Pack a tent and sleeping bag for a night of family-centered activities, dinner, movies, and s'mores around the campfire at VFW Park. Attendees may bring their own food and drinks and must register by Nov. 10. No campers, trailers or alcohol is permitted.
