Looking for things to do in Katy this spring? From music and cultural festivals to food fairs, here are seven events happening in the Katy area in April. This list is not comprehensive.

Katy Sip n Stroll

The year marks the 27th edition of this event that benefits nonprofit health care organizations Christ Clinic and The Ballard House. The event features 300 wine, beer and spirit offerings as well as more than 35 food-tasting stations. Entertainment includes live music, a silent auction and services from Le Chloe Med Spa.

Community Food Fair

Nonprofit Katy Christian Ministries kicks off the 2024 season of its community food fair in April at PowerHouse Church in Katy. The bimonthly event features food and produce distribution, which begins at 9 a.m. and goes on until food is gone.

Houston Texans Kids Triathlon

This 11th annual event is held at Typhoon Texas Waterpark. Kids of all ages, skill levels and abilities have the opportunity to swim, bike and run a short- or long-course foot race. New this year is the splash and dash event, which features a 125-meter swim, 2-mile bike ride and 1-mile run.Katy Lego Builders


Harris County Public Library’s Katy Branch hosts this Lego building challenge and free play event every third Monday of the month. The Lego Builders program is for kids ages 5-11 and is also compliant with the American with Disabilities Act. Attendance is first come, first served because of limited seating.Katy Music Festival

This event features 10 hours of artists nominated for Country Music, Grammy and Billboard Awards performing live on stage. Located at the Houston Community College-Katy campus, guests can also expect dozens of local artists and crafters, a farmers market, and craft beer and wine.

International Festival at Kingsland

This third annual festival will have cultural performances, international cuisine, a global artisan market and activities for kids and entire families. Food vendors include local restaurants, such as Copenhagen European Kitchen and Bakery, The Sushi Bar, and Big Poppa Jerk.Brazilian Food and Music Festival

Located at Wildcatter Saloon, this event highlights the music and food culture of Brazil. Guests can expect samba music, a kids space, arts and crafts, swimwear and jewelry from Brazil, and networking opportunities.
