Voters in Katy and Fulshear can partake in early voting for the Nov. 5 election from Oct. 21-Nov. 1.

What residents need to know

Fort Bend County residents can cast their votes at one of 32 early voting locations countywide, which are open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. from Oct. 21-26 and Oct. 28-Nov. 1, according to Fort Bend County’s website. Some locations are also open on Oct. 27 from noon-6 p.m.

According to Harris County’s website, Katy residents in the county can visit one of 88 early voting locations, which are open:
  • Oct. 21-26 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • Oct. 27 from noon to 7 p.m.
  • Oct 28-30 from 7 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Oct. 31 from 7 a.m.-9 p.m.
  • Nov. 1 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
Meanwhile, Waller County residents can cast a ballot at one of four early voting locations, which are open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. from Oct. 21-25, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Oct. 26 and Oct. 28-Nov. 1. Polls will also open Oct. 27 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., according to Waller County’s website.



On the ballot

Ballots will feature a plethora of races, ranging from the federal and state races for the U.S. House, Texas House and State Senator as well as several county races.

Fort Bend County voters can weigh in on county tax assessor-collector and sheriff, while Harris County voters can cast their votes for county attorney, district attorney and sheriff. Meanwhile, voters in Waller County will determine its tax assessor-collector.

Harris County voters will also decide upon a proposed tax increase of $0.04897 per $100 of valuation to fund ongoing drainage maintenance for the Harris County Flood Control District.
