The positions would fill transportation-related vacancies within KISD, with new hires starting immediately, said Nick Petito, KISD director of internal and community relations, in an email.
By the numbers
According to the release, pay details for the positions are as follows:
- Bus driver starting pay: $19.35 per hour
- Bus attendant starting pay: $13.33 per hour
"We are seeking skilled individuals to serve as the welcoming face for our students as bus drivers and attendants, recognizing the pivotal role they play in ensuring safe journeys to school,” KISD Executive Director of Transportation Paul Landis said in the release.
