Pappasito’s Cantina will open a restaurant in Katy, continuing its westward expansion in the Houston area, an official said.

Pappasito’s Cantina will replace the spot formerly held by Uncle Julio’s. The eatery will feature a patio, two private banquet rooms, a large dining area and a U-shaped full-service bar, a Pappas Restaurants representative said in an email.

“The iconic Pappasito's rocket will be featured on the exterior, adding a familiar touch, ... and the menu will feature the full selection that our loyal Pappasito's guests know and love,” the representative said.
While there’s not yet an opening date, construction on the building is set to begin this fall, the representative said.
