Hong Kong-inspired Cafe 11 has opened on Colonial Parkway, owners confirmed.

The gist

The restaurant was initially supposed to open in May, although owner Kwong Ip said they faced various delays.

Ip and his business partner Terry Cheuk, who will serve as the restaurant’s chef, both grew up in Hong Kong before meeting in New Orleans, Ip said.

On the menu

The menu is centered around signature dishes served in skillets, which feature a protein with sauce poured tableside, Ip said. Other menu items include various curries and soups.

Additionally, patrons can choose from oven-baked favorites, including:
  • Baked Portuguese chicken with diced potatoes, homemade sauce and melted cheese
  • Baked grilled chicken with tomato sauce and melted cheese
  • Baked pork chops with tomato sauce and melted cheese
  • Baked seafood with cream sauce and melted cheese
Guests can also indulge in sweet treats such as the matcha chocolate lava cake.
