What you need to know

Cafe 11 business partners Kwong Ip and chef Terry Cheuk grew up in Hong Kong before meeting in New Orleans, Ip said. They have since moved to Houston and are working to bring a taste of their culture to Katy.

The restaurant is set to have a homey feel and welcoming atmosphere featuring vibrant lights and plants to add to the cozy feeling, he said.

On the menu

The menu will feature authentic Hong Kong dishes with western influence bringing in some British favorites, including sweet toasts for dessert. For those not familiar with Hong Kong cuisine, Ip said he would describe it as Chinese fusion and perfect for those willing to try new things.

The signature dish will be served in a skillet and will feature a protein of the customer’s choice with signature sauce poured in at the table so customers can experience a presentation featuring smell and sound, he said.
