The Houston-born, women-owned boot brand will debut its Texas Collection during a pop-up shop at River Oaks Shopping Center from Feb. 26-March 20, coinciding with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. The company will offer its signature handcrafted luxury footwear as well as a collection that celebrates the Lone Star State's "beauty, culture and stories," according to a Jan. 30 news release.

The clothing brand was launched in Dallas in 2017 by sisters and Texas natives Lizzie Means Duplantis and Sarah Means. The shop offers cowboy boots and Western wear with elements of avant-garde design and high fashion.

Republic was founded as a custom boot maker, but owner Chris Conrad has since added a stock line of ready-made boots, which he said allows customers to take a boot home immediately instead of having to wait five to six months for a custom job. The focus of the store includes boots, bags and belts, all of which are made with leather from hand-picked hides, Conrad said. The range of products also includes custom hats, gun cases and tally books.
