Houston Methodist officials cut the ribbon April 10 on the new $62 million Cinco Ranch comprehensive care center, bringing more primary care, specialty care and physical therapy options for Katy area residents.
The details
The 67,000-square-foot, three-story center—located at 6601 Cinco Rose Drive—has 68 exam rooms and more than 30 physicians on-site, Operations Manager Carolyn Mohsenzadeh said.
Patients also have access to on-site lab services and advanced imaging, including screening mammograms, bone density scans, X‐rays, MRI and ultrasounds.
Construction for the Cinco Ranch center began in November 2024, with patients first being welcomed in February, officials said. The first comprehensive care center was opened in The Woodlands area in 2025.

The center also has several features to make patient visits more efficient, including:
- Pre-arrival electronic check-in
- Self-check-in kiosks
- Automated text updates
- Ambient artificial intelligence listening
- Real-time location systems
- Two-way digital communication systems
“Everything is designed for the patient in mind and the patient at the center, and that’s always where we’re at at Houston Methodist,” Houston Methodist CEO Dr. Marc L. Boom said.
Why it matters
Nathan Jacobs, vice president of operations at Houston Methodist, said the facility was part of a “deliberate strategy” to be geographically closer to patients and implement new medical technology in order to “streamline the overall experience."
“This is a market that we had a lot of patients coming out of already that we could see, and so instead of having to drive all the way to the hospital, either at west or all the way in Sugar Land, that’s why we decided to put something here,” Jacobs said.

More specialties are set to open throughout the year, including cardiology, orthopedics, neurology, gastroenterology and ENT services.
Additionally, the center’s urgent care clinic will be open in the next few months, Mohsenzadeh said.
