Three newcomers will join Katy ISD board of trustees after no candidates filed for re-election.
On the ballot
Unofficial results show Cicely Taylor has claimed the Katy ISD board of trustees Position 3 seat with 5,528 votes, followed by Haider Razvi and Sean Hesterly with 1,228 and 938 votes, respectively.
Meanwhile, Jim Davidson will take the Position 4 seat with 4,725 votes, followed by Tiffany Auzenne with 2,329 votes and David Greene with 588 votes.
Additionally, Nathan Shipley will serve as the Position 5 representative with 5,127 votes, followed by Jesus Nieto and Caleb Silverio with 1,601 and 1,046 votes, respectively.
Results remain unofficial until canvassed at a later date.

Early voting totals from the May 2 election are in for three Katy ISD board of trustees races.
What parents need to know
Early voting totals from Katy ISD show Cicely Taylor is leading the Katy ISD board of trustees, Position 3 race with 3,956 votes, followed by Haider Razvi and Sean Hesterly with 665 and 657 votes, respectively. The position was previously held by Amy Alsheikh Thieme, who is not seeking re-election.
Meanwhile, Jim Davidson leads the Position 4 race with 3,261 votes, followed by Tiffany Auzenne with 1,521 votes and David Greene with 433 votes. The position was previously held by Morgan Calhoun, who is not seeking re-election.
Additionally, Nathan Shipley had taken the lead in the Position 5 race with 3,745 votes, followed by Jesus Nieto and Caleb Silverio with 990 and 580 votes, respectively. The position was previously held by Mary Ellen Cuzela, who is not seeking re-election.
About the candidates
Hesterly is a teacher, Razvi works in emergency medical services and serves in the US Army, while Taylor serves in education administration.
Meanwhile, Auzenne serves as a banker and Greene is a managing partner at Trenton Hoyt, while Davidson works as a partner in a global consulting firm.
Additionally, Silverio is a Houston City College student and Shipley serves as an analytics consultant and Nieto works as a nonprofit leader.
