Chipotle Mexican Grill will open its seventh Katy-Fulshear area location in Cane Island, featuring a drive-thru pick-up lane and a new menu item.

The pick-up window, known as Chipotlane, was first introduced in early 2018 to make pickups faster and more convenient for guests and delivery drivers, officials announced in a Dec. 1 news release.

On the menu

The international restaurant chain serves build-your-own Mexican-inspired cuisine, such as bowls, burritos and quesadillas, according to its website.

The Katy location will serve the brand’s latest protein, carne asada, per the release.

One more thing

The new store will hire approximately 30 employees, per the release. Additionally, Katy residents can set up fundraisers through the restaurant to benefit local causes.
