Houston’s newest H-E-B opened its doors Oct. 29 in the Jordan Ranch master-planned community, providing a new shopping destination for Katy and Fulshear residents.

In a nutshell

The 116,000-square-foot store—led by top store leader Juan Siso—offers in-store and curbside service with 37 spaces, officials announced in an Oct. 29 news release.

The store also features several departments, including:
  • Bakery, produce and deli
  • Meat market
  • Frozen foods
  • Healthy Living
  • Beauty, pet and household items
  • H-E-B Meal Simple
The Jordan Ranch location, which will employ 470 partners, is also home to a pharmacy, Blooms floral department, Sushiya grill and Cooking Connection station for live demonstrations and samples, per the release.

Outside the store, guests can visit the walk-up seafood boil stand, gas station and car wash.

The store also offers H-E-B’s version of the internet-famous strawberry cup featuring Belgian ganache, exclusive to the Jordan Ranch location, per the release.

In their own words

Siso, a 17-year H-E-B partner, said the new store is the furthest west large-format H-E-B in the Houston region, allowing the company a chance to grow in Fort Bend County and beyond.

“Opening our doors in this growing community is an honor, and we look forward to providing our neighbors with convenient, close-to-home shopping experiences and solutions,” he said in the release.

The grand opening

In celebration of the store’s opening, customers are invited to join in a five-day celebration from Oct. 29 to Nov. 2, including over 40 demo stations such as fish cutting, dirty soda making and cheese cutting Nov 1-2, Siso said.

Additionally, the store will host a carnival-themed kids area featuring games, face painting and a photo backdrop.
