The number of homes sold was largely flat in three of five local ZIP codes in the Heights-River Oaks-Montrose area when comparing data from October with October 2022, but fell by more than 25% in the 77007 and 77008 ZIP codes, which cover parts of the Heights and Washington Corridor. In the 77007 ZIP code, homes sales were
down by more than 15% when comparing September with September 2022.
The median price of homes sold was down in the 77006 and 77019 ZIP codes when comparing October with October 2022, but was still above $550,000 in both ZIP codes.
With home sales down compared to last year in the 77007 ZIP code, the average number of days a home spends on the market was also up by 14.3% when comparing October with October 2022, which translates to an increase of four days. Meanwhile, the average days on market fell in the 77006, 77008 and 77098 ZIP codes when comparing the two months.
More than one-third of homes sold in the five-ZIP-code area in October fell in the $500,001-$750,000 price range. Another 28% fell in the $250,001-$500,000 price range, and another 16% were sold for more than $1 million.
