Upscale Persian eatery Rumi's Place will make its Houston debut next fall in Post Oak Place, a new mixed-use development in Uptown Houston just outside of Loop 610.

With locations in Atlanta and Washington D.C., Rumi's Place is known for its contemporary take on Persian staples, including kebabs, flatbreads, stews and specialty rice. The 5,200-square-foot restaurant is slated to open in the fall of 2022, according to a May 6 announcement from the Zadok family, the developers behind Post Oak Place.

“As one of the first upscale Persian restaurants to join Houston’s culinary scene, Rumi’s Kitchen represents an exciting addition to our robust and dynamic roster of tenants at Post Oak Place,” Zadok Jewelers Principal Jonathan Zadok said in a statement.

The 5-story, 112,000-square-foot Post Oak Place opened in March at 1801 Post Oak Boulevard, Houston, featuring a mix of retail, office and restaurant space. Japanese restaurant Uchiko has also been announced for the development.
