Kelsey-Seybold Clinic opened a new Tanglewood clinic at the Woodway Square shopping center, near the Second Baptist Church Woodway campus.

The overview

The 20,000-square-foot clinic opened in early March, replacing the original Tanglewood clinic on Augusta Drive, which served patients for nearly 50 years, according to an April 3 news release from the company. It will service those living or working in Tanglewood, Hunters Creek Village, Piney Point Village, Briar Grove, West Oakes and Mid-West.

Jamise Crooms, managing physician at the Tanglewood clinic, said in the release the health care center is intentionally located near the residential communities they strive to serve.

"With greater visibility and access, this new location makes it more convenient for new patients to make that first appointment with medical providers who are focused on value-based care,” Crooms said in a statement.

The details

The new clinic has space for up to 11 providers, who offer comprehensive care for adults and children, per the release.

Patients have access to providers in family medicine, internal medicine and pediatrics, as well as specialists in dermatology, rheumatology and neurology.

In addition to x-ray services, the clinic plans to add ultrasound and an extensive referral network of Kelsey-Seybold specialists with offices at neighboring locations, including the Memorial Villages, Memorial City and Spencer R. Berthelsen campuses.
