Houston Airport System issues advisory about indefinite TSA delays
Travelers should prepare for longer security wait times at Houston's airports "until further notice" due to the federal government shutdown, according to a Nov. 2 advisory.Transportation Security Administration wait times may exceed one hour at William P. Hobby Airport, or HOU, and three hours at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, or IAH, according to the advisory.

Unofficial data shows that voters favored all propositions minus the Guy K. Traylor Stadium improvements, which had 12,313 votes for and 14,033 votes against.
Other vote totals include:- 14,552 votes for Proposition A ($1.9 billion), which would fund new campus builds and improvements, as well as land purchase
- 14,220 votes for Proposition B ($44.13 million), which would fund a technology refresh
- 13,712 votes for Proposition D ($10.69 million), which would fund student devices to ensure a 1-to-1 laptop ratio for students in grades 3-12
Unofficial voting results show all three Magnolia ISD bond propositions fail
With 57 o 57 Election Day precincts reporting, all three Magnolia ISD bond propositions failed, according to unofficial voting results from Montgomery County.
Per the voting results, there are:- 5,708 votes against Proposition A and 5,579 votes in favor
- 6,626 votes against Proposition B and 4,630 votes in favor
- 6,793 votes against Proposition C and 4,441 votes in favor
Conroe ISD's Grand Oaks zoning plan in the works as area continues to grow
Conroe ISD is redefining its Grand Oaks feeder zone attendance boundaries to accommodate new schools Grand Oaks Junior High School and Kacy Arnold Elementary School, district officials said.The zoning process for the two new schools is complicated by challenges with the geography of the area, as well as growing enrollment in the Grand Oaks feeder east of I-45 and south of the Grand Parkway in the Woodson’s Reserve development, Assistant Superintendent of Operations Chris McCord said.
The district has been looking at the geographical changes that have occurred from 2005-25 due to development and new roads that redefine how the area is shaped, McCord said.

Sugar Land to make code changes as 52-acre Lake Pointe redevelopment nears construction
Sugar Land’s Lake Pointe District is nearing the start of redevelopment.
As part of the process, Sugar Land officials are considering code changes, specifically regarding middle housing development, Redevelopment Planning Manager Ruth M. Lohmer said at an Oct. 21 City Council meeting. The most significant change would decrease minimum mew widths—the distance between property lines—from 30 to 20 feet, allowing buildings to be built closer together.Find out more from Reporter Tomer Ronen.
