May 3: Try samples from local restaurants

Menu of Menus returns to Silver Street Studios with food and drink samples from a variety of restaurants from around Houston. May 5: Take in the glow of Memorial Park's eastern glades

Memorial Park Conservancy and its support group Urban Wild host the 7th annual Glow in the Glades fundraising event to aid the mission of preserving, restoring and enhancing the park. May 6: Take part in Mother’s Day fun

May 19-21: Learn about bike infrastructure and annual summit

The Houston Bike Summit allows guests to support local cycling advocacy group Bike Houston while enjoying a cocktail party with food and drinks. A virtual talk on cycling accidents will take place May 19. The May 20 event takes place in La Grange in Montrose and features a silent auction and a discussion of the politics of building a bike-friendly city. On May 21, Traffic Engineers Inc. will lead the 20-mile Bike Summit Ride, showcasing new cycling infrastructure in Houston.

May 21: Decorate a bike for a parade
