A soft opening took place June 24 for new location of Common Bond Bistro & Bakery in the Tanglewood neighborhood.

The eatery—the first location of which opened in 2014 in Houston's Montrose neighborhood, and can now be found in multiple locations spanning the Greater Houston area—serves coffee, bread, pastries, cakes and food options.

The spacious 5,500-square-foot space that spans two floors becomes the chain's largest bistro location, according to a news release.

What they're saying

Executive Chef Jason Gould said in a statement the new location was a natural fit.

"We were receiving constant requests from the community to open a bistro in the Tanglewood, Briargrove, and the Memorial area, so here we are," Gould said.

What they're offering

With the opening of the new location, a new bistro and bakery menu was released and includes:
  • Bacon barbecue and mushroom goat cheese burgers
  • Southwestern salmon
  • Crisp pork belly
  • Blackened shrimp
  • Cavatappi pasta with black pepper sausage and creamy tomato sauce
