In a Jan. 23 social media post, officials with the restaurant issued their farewell message, thanking guests for making Picnik part of the Montrose community.

"We want to thank our incredible team at Montrose and our wonderful guests for spending time with us. We are saying farewell for now, but we hope to return in the future and see some familiar faces at our other restaurants if your road ever takes you to Austin," officials announced on social media.

Citing challenging financial situations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, restaurant officials with Urban Eats announced on social media that they will no longer be serving meals after Jan. 28.

After a year and a half serving Vietnamese-inspired cuisine, officials with Dinette Vietnamese Kitchen and Bar announced Jan. 31 they will serve their final meal on Feb. 4.

Owner Claire Smith’s modern bistro Alice Blue has served daily breakfast, lunch and dinner for 20 years in the Houston Heights. A restaurant official said they will have their last service on Feb. 25.
