DJ SUN, a record producer and DJ based out of Houston, has collaborated with Cruiser Coffee to bring a new coffee bar concept to the Montrose nightlife spot, The Flat. Sunny Coffee debuted Nov. 18 at 1701 Commonwealth St., Houston.

Cruiser Coffee, a local roastery based out of Houston's East End, runs the coffee program. Options range from classic espressos to specialty drinks, as well as cappuccinos, cold brews, espresso martinis and pour-overs, according to a Nov. 7 news release.

Guests can also purchase brunch items at The Flat made available by Cucharita, a new Mexican breakfast spot opened by the owners of Cuchara on Fairview Street. With the debut of Sunny Coffee, The Flat's hours have been extended with the venue now opening daily at 11 a.m.

"The Flat has always been a place where friends and neighbors can come together, and with our new expanded hours, coffee program and chef partners, we're bringing a rare mix of coffee, music and culinary options to our community," DJ SUN said in a statement.

The interior, designed by Gin Design Group, includes a lounge space and patio catering to remote workers, according to the release.
