Vedas Medical Spa and Wellness Center is hosting a four-night fall speaker series for teens and young women in The Woodlands to promote self-confidence and assurance.

The free series, Smart Girl-Talk for Teens and Women, started Sept. 17 and has two more sessions planned for the year on Nov. 19 and Dec. 3. The two remaining sessions will be held at the spa from 7-8:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy light refreshments and also have an opportunity to tour the spa.

Victoria Devery, a front-desk coordinator for the wellness center, said center officials started the series as an opportunity to get in touch with women in the community and make more resources available.

“The session in November is going to be about focusing on self-confidence, and the session in December will be about harmonizing with your body,” Devery said. “The sessions each touch on different things, and it’s such a good response.”

Mary Kelosky, a medical aesthetician at the wellness center, said she is excited the center is hosting the series and believes the sessions that are being offered are important to the well-being of women.

“It’s an important part of helping women nurture their inner self and promote self-confidence and self-assurance,” she said. “The doctor [Dr. Chaitali Nangrani] has hand-selected the speakers and those speakers give women the tools to be more confident.”
